What is business support

Business support is guidance, advice or resources that help to propel you in business. There are a range of support programs offered by the Federation of Small Business, Enterprise Nation, Help to Grow, and GOV.org.

As well as business marketing support offered by other SME’s such as Nurture Digital Marketing supportive blogs or resources.

Why does business support matter at all stages of the business cycle?

Business support matters because it’s comparable to having a power circle.

It can be likened to having an alliance of individuals or teams that you can tap into for advice, guidance, expertise when needed.

Business support matters at all stages from ideation to scale-up, regardless of the stage of journey.

Business support is important because the support can take the extra weight off running a business, it lightens the load having the right source of people to turn to for questions on marketing, HR or finance. This type of support gives owner’s guidance of every stage of their journey, inputting direction that is strategic.

Getting support

There are moments in all our business journey when we need additional guidance, resources, guidance or community. Founders need another founder to relate to or an expert in another field to bounce ideas with or a Colleague to share with.

So it’s really important to consider, who are the people who surround you? Who do you spend the most time with? Who is in your inner circle?

The business support that surrounds us can be compared to that of having an inner circle, and we must ask ourselves who are those within our business circle and are they resourceful and supportive and led by knowledge.

How do you develop an inner circle?

Business support can empower and help to drive you in the right direction for your business and one way of developing an inner circle is to reach out for support and connection.
